District Long-Range Facilities Planning
The Three Lakes School District, in partnership with Nexus Solutions, is currently reviewing the district's facility needs as they pertain to facility condition, enrollment projections and educational strategies. This process began about two years ago when the district identified the need for a comprehensive facilities plan that would assess our facility condition and provide a timeline for maintenance and/or improvements. The district hired Nexus Solutions to complete a comprehensive facility assessment and plan, and since then, the Board of Education has reviewed those findings and narrowed the focus to include areas of high priority.
The district takes great pride in remaining fiscally responsible and in seeking input from our community. Over the years, we have been able to address many large-ticket items, such as roofing and boiler replacement, within our regular budget. Throughout this long-range planning process, we've identified several important areas that could require larger investment, and we are now seeking public input to prioritize these potential building projects.
At this point, we are gathering public opinion to see how much of an investment, if any, our community would support. This page is meant as a resource for you as we move through this process.

Community Survey
The next step in this process is a districtwide community survey, which will be facilitated by School Perceptions, an independent vendor that specializes in gathering data. A paper version of the survey will be mailed to every home in the district in early October. The survey will also be available online.
Facilities Planning Committee
We are also seeking volunteers to be part of a facilities planning committee, which will run in parallel to the community survey. The committee will review survey data, tour the TLSD facilities and then provide public opinion to the Board of Education in regards to our long-range planning. If you wish to be considered for this committee, simply fill out this online application or contact the business office.
