Communication between the district and parents/guardians is a key element to student success. At Three Lakes School District, we use several communication methods to relay information, including the following:
SwiftReach – This messaging system is used to inform a large number of people simultaneously, via phone, email and/or text message. The system is updated with information from PowerSchool. The district uses this tool for urgent or emergency communication such as early closures as well as reminders for important events such as open houses and parent/teacher conferences.
Canvas – Our learning management system is used for junior high and high school students, and it contains student assignments, links to instructional videos, course grade books and more. Our high school and junior high staff use this platform to organize teaching tools. Parents can also use this platform – especially the parent app – to track student grades, late assignments and more.
PowerSchool – Our student information system is where data such as demographics, emergency contacts, grades and more is stored. Students and parents can access the system via password. The contact information from PowerSchool is used for all school communication.
ENewsletters – School enewsletters, including the Bluejay Buzz in Three Lakes and the Robin Report in Sugar Camp are sent each Friday. Parents/guardians are automatically signed up for the enewsletter.
Social Media - Three Lakes School District is active on Facebook. You'll find photos, events, tidbits from throughout the day and more.
Website – The district website contains a wealth of information for staff, students, parents and community members.
