Enter the doors of Three Lakes 7-12, and you’re stepping into a tight-knit community of students, teaching staff and administration where we’re focused on providing a personalized education for every junior high and high school student.
Junior High
Although our 7-12 students are in one building, the junior high and high school run separately, each with their own bell schedules and areas in the building. That means junior high students remain separate from high schoolers, interacting in their own hall on their own schedule. We call our junior high “semi self-contained” because students are mostly in a dedicated hallway that’s separate from the high school. Junior high students start and end each day with a homeroom teacher, which creates a sense of stability for students as they transition from elementary to high school.
Our junior high runs on an eight-hour day. Part of that schedule includes block classes, which expose junior-high students to elective options they can then pursue in high school. These blocks run for one school quarter and are a requirement for junior high.
High School
Once in high school, students transition to a six-hour period on an A/B day schedule. This means their schedules are different every other day, which allows for more classes and credits during their time at Three Lakes High School.
Class sizes are small, and personalized education is our goal. At Three Lakes High School, we are proud of our positive learning environment that customizes the educational experience for each student. We also offer independent study courses where students can work individually with teaching staff to pursue academic interests.
