Three Lakes Elementary is a building brimming with activity. Enter the building, and you’ll find a place that’s well cared for and respected. Our class sizes are small, which means teachers and staff can offer individual attention to each student.
Our building is divided into lower elementary in one hall and upper elementary in another hall. Students are with their grade-level teachers most of the day, but move to other classrooms for art, music and physical education.
Our lower elementary students have two recess periods per day and our upper elementary students have one. Each grade receives a guidance lesson once per week from our school guidance counselor.
At Three Lakes Elementary, students use our Kids Lab for STEM-based activities. The lab is a separate room in the elementary building that all classes share. Scheduled time in the lab can include building projects and other activities that enforce the engineering-design process. STEM-based activities are also integrated into other core content areas, either within the lab or within the classrooms.
Elementary students can participate in various sports opportunities as well as academic competitions such as our annual spelling and geography bees.
Our Mission
Our district’s mission statement is “teaching students to become productive citizens,” which is something we encourage at the elementary level through monthly citizenship assemblies. Students work on a particular citizenship skill each month, and during the assembly, a student from each grade level is honored as the “citizen of the month” for best exhibiting that skill. We believe it’s important to teach not only academics, but lifelong skills that will help our students succeed in their communities.
